Literacy Patch 1.0 – Korean News Media Mastery

Categories Literacy

What I will learn?

  • Sentence compression techniques - noun chains, nominalization, and more
  • 한자 vocabulary webs - how one root unlocks tons of words
  • Particle dropping rules - why formal Korean drops particles, words, and grammar and how your brain learns to fill them back in
  • Korean number architecture - the 천→만→억→조 system so you can actually read price tags and news statistics
  • 한자 recognition - get familiar with the characters that are still used today
  • Transfer skills - taking news patterns and applying them to 구청 documents, hospital forms, and workplace emails
  • Why "learning vocabulary" doesn't fix compressed Korean (and what microskill actually does)
  • ...and more!

I really like this course!!! I've been learning Korean now for like 5 years on and off. It's been a long journey and not a consistent one (only since last year). Recently I've become father of a girl with my Korean wife and feel like this is my time to step up. I want to raise her bilingual! So this course has been a game-changer for me. It helps me learn Korean in context in a fun and engaging way.

Wanna get a feel what it's like to live in South Korea and experience a true to live story through an engaging story using news as the medium? It’s practical, intelligent, and surprisingly immersive. Highly recommended!
